2025 BCTDA Annual Meeting

Monday, September 8 | 3-6pm | Wortham Center for the Performing Arts

Join travel and hospitality partners, community leaders, and colleagues for the 2025 Buncombe County Tourism Development Authority Annual Meeting. After a challenging year that’s revealed our community’s gumption, grit, determination, and resilience, we will recognize the significant progress we’ve made together and explore new efforts and events that will help drive the rebound for our creative economy in the coming year.

We will also recognize this year’s recipients of the William A.V. Cecil Award, whose unwavering commitment and community-minded dedication supported Asheville and Buncombe County through unprecedented times.

Stick around after the program for networking with industry colleagues while enjoying seasonal bites from Catering by Corey!

This year we are asking for suggested donations up to $20 to support the continuation of Explore Asheville’s Workforce program.

This initiative works with Asheville and Buncombe County high school students to:

  • INSPIRE by increasing awareness and aspirations through exposure to partner experiences and industry networking
  • TRAIN by developing skills and confidence through hands-on learning opportunities and internships
  • EDUCATE by fostering growth and advancement
